Remote controlled cars are some of the coolest toys that a boy can have. They mix the adult world and the kid world together. They get to drive a cool car around and you get to have the peace of mind that they will one day become a much better driver, hopefully. The model kits are just getting better and better though. You would be shocked by some of the detail that current designs go to to make the car the best that it can be.

Just look at some of the latest designs for RC trucks. These often have working suspension systems and just about everything that you could possible want in the way of handling. They are getting faster and tougher, since the companies know that boys love toys that make a lot of noise, no matter what age they are.

There are even a number of gas RC car options available. These are probably a bit beyond the starter versions. I would suggest that you take a little time and ensure that they can drive an electric one before you start moving up to gas options. If they are really interested though, then it’s a great gift.
