A Homemaker’s Social Life
It is a common belief among people that the only justifiable way of employment for a women is to work outside of her home. No matter how hard a woman works for her home and family, if she doesn’t earn a paycheck it doesn’t count. This faulty line of thinking is compounded by the fact that wage earners often believe that a homemaker has nothing but free time and therefore, should be readily available for their needs, such as errand-running.
That does not mean it is the truth. A lot of time full-time homemakers are also moms and grandmothers. The concept that most people fail to understand is that homemakers actually have many social obligations. Homemakers keep busy with church and other social organizations. These things are not necessarily things of great importance.
The activity where a homemaker spends her most of time is keeping her home clean and safe for her family. Homemakers have duties to perform both inside as well as outside the home. They readily escort children to school trips and parties. For many of these events, they will offer their services for driving. There will be hoards of cookies baked for these things.
In case you have no idea then I will just tell you what a room mother is. These wonderful contributions to the school events are made by full time homemakers. Examples of cupcakes are red and white for Valentine’s Day or red and green for Christmas.
You may have thought that a full time homemaker is about the same have not having a job. Despite this, there is no difference between the two. Attending to one’s social duties and needs is a full time occupation.
